Website Visitors

Like most website operators, csf.tools collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. CSF Tools purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how CSF Tools visitors use its website. From time to time, CSF Tools may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

CSF Tools also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Csf.tools does not use IP addresses to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to csf.tools choose to interact with csf.tools in ways that require csf.tools to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that csf.tools gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who use our comment system to provide a username and email address.

In each case, csf.tools collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with csf.tools. csf.tools does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
